DURHAM. – This week's members enjoyed a fun games night, we had a good turn out for the first meeting in the new year. Next week's meeting is to be confirmed, check the club's Facebook page for more details or call the secretary Helen on 07540 058554.

STAINDROP. – Mark and Chris both joined Staindrop YFC in 2002 and have since been very active members of the club. During their time in Young Farmers, they have both chaired the club to great success and have represented the club and county at higher levels multiple times. Chris and Mark decided to donate a trophy to the club after being heavily involved within the club over the past 18 years. They said: "We felt we needed to give something back to the club, after everything that the club have given us over the years, so we thought a trophy will last for many many years to come to remind the club of us both."

The trophy that has been donated is called the Members' Member of the Year Trophy. The winner of the trophy will be voted by the members themselves every year at the AGM. Each member will write down a name of who they feel has stood out the most in the year to them, and the overall winner will be the member with the most votes.

In December 2019, Chris and Mark attended Staindrop YFC AGM to announce the new trophy and to complete the first vote with the club. The winner was Joe Richardson. Joe was presented with the trophy by Chris and Mark at the Annual Christmas Meal at The Jersey Farm Hotel. Joe has been a very active member of the club since he first joined. He is always willing to take part in club, County and National competitions and he has a great eye for stockjudging! He is a great junior member of the club, and this win was very much deserved.

Chris and Mark will both continue to support the club in many ways as club leaders. As a club, we would like to thank Chris and Mark for their very kind donation and for all the help they offer to the club.

STOKESLEY. – We are back now after a short break over Christmas and our first meeting back this week was a social and committee meeting, it was a good chance for everyone to have a catch up! Next week's meeting is horse riding games at Tunstall farm with the kind permission of Claire Robinson at Robinson's Equi Teach.
