POLICE have issued a reminder to drivers of slow-moving vehicles to pull over to let other motorists pass to prevent large queues of traffic building up behind them.
Rule 169 of the Highway Code states: "Do not hold up a long queue of traffic, especially if you are driving a large or slow-moving vehicle.
"Check your mirrors frequently, and if necessary, pull in where it is safe and let traffic pass."
North Yorkshire Police said: "Failing to do so is an offence and the police can and do enforce this. Please be courteous, especially on busy A-roads and at rush hour, and follow the rules of the road."
