Police are urging farmers to take advantage of a new high-tech forensic marking solution to help protect property against criminals.
Farmers in North Yorkshire and York can claim up to five SelectaDNA kits for their farms, free from the North Yorkshire Police Rural Task Force.
A spokesperson said: "Come along to Ripon Farm Services at Dallamires Lane, Ripon, between 10am and 2pm on Monday, May 13, 2024. We’ll give you your kits, explain how the system works, and help you get registered.
"The kits will play a key role in the fight against crime, by marking your vehicles and equipment with an invisible solution that deters criminals, and helps us recover stolen property."
