Dr Emma King, lead vet for the North East at PHS, won the Outstanding Achievement category in the 2024 Northern Farmer Awards in recognition of her contributions to poultry producers in the region.

Nikky Motley, commercial manager at PHS, said: “At Poultry Health Services, we were all very proud of Emma and we are now delighted to be sponsoring the Poultry Farmer/Producer of the Year Award in the 2025 Northern Farmer Awards which champion the region's agricultural industry. This new category will help to shine a light on the poultry industry, which is so important to this region.

“Contenders for this award should be poultry farmers/producers who are passionate about their work as well as innovative. We’d love to see how they are putting sustainability and biosecurity at the heart of what they do as well as how they are investing in their teams, perhaps through apprenticeships or other schemes that support continuing professional development to help recruit and retain colleagues within the poultry sector.”

PHS is part of VetPartners which is made up of some of the UK’s most respected and trusted small animal, equine, mixed and farm practices and animal healthcare companies.
