A talk on farming due to take place in North Yorkshire later this month, is said to be of interest to all - whether farmers or not.
'Let's Talk Farming' will be introduced by local farmer, John Dawson, whose talk is entitled 'the farming story'. Stephen Dew, of the Skipton office of the NFU, will talk of 'challenges ahead'; while there will also be a talk on 'our future farmers' by Settle and District Young Farmers.

Mark Blakey, livestock procurement, Dovecote Park, will talk about the link between supermarkets and farmers, and finishing off, 'caring for farmers at Bentham Auction and beyond' will be talked about by Richard Schofield, founder member of Field Nurses; and Steve Rathbone, a volunteer with the Farming Community Network.
Let's Talk Farming will take place on Sunday, September 29 at St John's Methodist Church, Settle, from 2pm to 5pm. Admission free, coffee available throughout.
