A mountain rescue team was tasked with helping a 'feisty' sheep that had become stuck.
Keswick MRT assisted the sheep to safety, which had become stuck in some uneasy ground on the Borrowdale fells.
In a post on social media, Keswick Mountain Rescue wrote: "A Borrowdale farmer asked if we could help rescue a sheep, which had been stuck on a ledge on a rocky outcrop in the Langstrath valley.
"A small group of team members rigged a rope rescue system and made their way down to the sheep which although it had been on the ledge for a week and had eaten all available vegetation, was still putting up some feisty resistance.
"Eventually, the Herdwick was harnessed, hauled to the top of outcrop, and after its release trotted off to some greener pastures."
